July - August 2007

We have had a prosperous year so far with several souls saved and a great emphasis on reaching the lost in our town. The men and women of the church have always been willing to participate in our outreaches with much enthusiasm.
We had a youth night during the month of July with the greatest amount of teenage visitors we have ever had. We kept the night focused on the Word of God and a good delivery of a Gospel message with a challenge to follow Christ in salvation.
One of our visitors was a twenty-two year old man, Mike, who during the devotion when the question was asked, "What would you ask God for if you could get anything you wanted?" Mike said "Peace in your heart."
In the midst of teens and children saying cars, money, big houses, etc…, this man who was not raised in a church, has no religious family members, and claimed to be agnostic answered, "Peace in your heart."

Because of his work schedule we have had little time to get together. We have spoken several times, but only when I have visited him at his work or on the phone. We have scheduled this coming weekend to get together for a good discussion. Please pray this will be a fruitful witness with this young man.
It has been said, "Salvation is not a decision, it is a revelation." I remember when the Lord revealed Himself to me. Don't you? I knew I had to get saved. I couldn't explain it all, but I knew I needed to pray to God for forgiveness of sin and salvation. I want to share God's truth with Mike and see God work on his heart. I am praying heavily for his conversion and ask that you make it a matter of prayer also. It would be so great to have a young man saved here in Limavady and become a voice for the Lord.

I am assured in my own heart we will see souls saved here in Limavady in the coming weeks and months. Please pray for our efforts as we knock on doors, pass out tracts in the street, and preach the Gospel to those who visit our church.

The mother of one of our ladies in the church died this week. I had visited her frequently since we came back in 2005 and was with her in the hospital several times before she died. We have had opportunity after opportunity to share the Gospel and ask her if she was ready to pray for God to save her. She never did.
Sadly, it is to late now, and the church she was a member of, though she has not been in ages, has forbid me to do anything in the service apart from reading a scripture text with no dialogue. The minister specifically told me I could not say anything other than what is read from the text. He is an apostate minister of the apostate Anglican Church and is afraid that truth will be expounded in the ears of those present. It is a sickening thing to watch and to listen to these "clergymen" do their rituals.

Through all this God is still on the throne, His hand is in my life, and I am going to follow the leadership of God and walk through the doors He opens.
We are called into this service of God to spread the Gospel through every available means. Pray for us in this religiously steeped environment, that we may be a shinning light of truth. God bless,
