In Following The Lord
Back To Northern Ireland: Romans 12:1 I BESEECH you
therefore, brethren , by the mercies of God, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
which is your reasonable service
The Lord has never asked anyone to
do an "unreasonable service."
We read of many unique callings God placed on the
patriarchs of old; Moses called to deliver Israel from Egypt, Noah
to build an ark, David to lead God's people, and the list goes on and on.
The service God has placed is this age of Grace is
such a simple task compared to the saints of old, yet it is so much
neglected, and that is "To tell the World of Jesus."
We are church planting
missionaries called to the field of Northern Ireland.
I pray to keep Jesus and
the Word of God in the middle and in the front our ministry.
It is all because of Him and all
because of Eternity.
We ask
that you pray for us as we carry the gospel to lost souls in Northern
Ireland.
We served as missionaries with MWBM to Northern Ireland
from June 2000 till November of 2008. During this time the Lord allowed us
to see Roe Valley Baptist Church organized and established through the
salvation and discipleship of precious Irish souls. The church was turned
over to another man and remains a great gospel influence in that area as a
New Testament Church.
At the end of those two
terms in Northern Ireland, feeling that we had achieved what the Lord had
sent us to do, I came off
the field thinking our work in
Ireland was accomplished.
I now realize that God was not finished with us in the country of Northern
Ireland. God has brought me to understand how He has prepared us for the
work in Northern Ireland. We have a working knowledge of the people and
permanent resident visas that allow us a hassle free settlement in the
country. Truly, the most important thing of all is that I have a calling
from God to plant churches in Northern Ireland. There are still tens of
thousands of people who have never heard the Gospel and town after town
exists without any kind of a Baptist or Gospel preaching church.
God has placed the town of Strabane on our hearts, a town of nearly 20,000
people with a reachable population of over 200,000. The town is 90%
Catholic and has never had a Baptist church anywhere in the area.
I feel the Lord will allow us to establish a local New Testament church
that will have the presence of the Gospel as an outreach to the community.
A church that will stand as a beacon of light so that no man in that area
will be without excuse.
I have a beautiful wife and wonderful
children that have always been an asset to my ministry and very supportive
of the work. My pastor, Bro. Floyd Perry, and the congregation of my
home church, Emmanuel Baptist of Granite Falls, NC have also been very
supportive in this mission work. I have been blessed to have been a
member of this church since 1992. We are once again going through
Macedonia World Baptist Missions as they have proved to be a tremendous
group of men and women who assist the missionary, both on and off the
foreign field, without bypassing the local church.
By God’s grace we will soon be back on the field. If you feel the Lord
would allow us to be part of your mission outreach, or would like for us
to present our work and calling to Northern Ireland in your church, we would be most be grateful.
Thank you for your time and for your prayers.

Prayer Card
I Praise God for His protection, guidance,
and longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.

Mark 16: 15 And
He said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to
every creature. |
