Mark 16:1-4
Who Shall Roll Us Away The Stone
Obstacles in our life; trials, heartaches, letdowns, etc…
1st Book in the Bible was inspired by a man’s trials.
Perfume, diamonds, bread, all these come from afflictions.
We are not promised luxury – but our needs met
We are not promised our next breath – but an eternal home in heaven
We are not promised smooth sailing – but a voice that speaks peace in the midst of the storm.
Here is a story of great obstacles: King had been killed, future was unsure, and the stone was sure.
This stone is a picture of problems in our life that we face.
These women are examples of how we should face these problems.
1. Each had been touched by Jesus. Give there testimonies
2. Each had their dream shattered.
3. Each faced an uncertain, impossible task.
During this trial they:
I. They kept their Commitment to Jesus.
They bought spices,
they kept walking although the circumstances were against them.
II. They kept their Conversation with other believers.
In hard times, stay in church, seek
Godly counsel. Stay in the book,
stay on your knees.
III. They Continued their walk not knowing how.
It may get rough at the end. (Mat.
28:1-2)
He saves the best for last.
