Daniel 1:1-21
In the Bible Babylon is a picture of the world, while Israel,
Judah, is a picture of God’s people.
The last world system that will rise to power is called Babylon.
By the way, Babylon is present day Iraq.
It has much to do with power, money, oil, etc…
Babylon stands
for the world system.
The world system exists tonight in such at such a strong level.
We, the Christian Church are not a large majority of people living
among a few wicked individuals, we
are a minority living among a militant majority of God haters and God deniers.
Satan, as cunning as he is has thrust the “civilized” world right
into his mold and has produced a generation of evil workers, seducers, and a
godless culture like never seen since the days prior to the flood.
What does the world want?
I. v.3-4) Our adolescence.
Our youth,
our young in Christ.
It wants the cream of the crop
Not fighting for control at the discos, or at the drug dens, or at the
off liscense.
The world has such an easy fight
with this generation, partly because of the leaders of the world and the adult
population.
II. v.5) Our Acceptance of its standards.
The entertainment standard
The drink standard
The promiscuity standard
The dress standard
To take God
out of everything.
Hananiah: Who God Gave
Mishael: Who God Is
Azariah: Who God Helps
The absence of God with morals is a
fallacy.
1.
v. 8-10) Purpose in our heart.
If you fall, get back up.
2.
v.11-16) Prove to the world it works.
We must show them.
3.
v.17-18) Prosperity in the Lord, and in Eternity.
Too many people are living for their own fleshly desires.
Too many people are living according to the World’s way.
